Spring One Room Challenge: Week 2-Manual Labor
Updated: May 18, 2020
Week 2 of the One Room Challenge is here! This past week involved a lot of physical work that unfortunately doesn't look like we did much, haha. But we worked all of this past Saturday and Sunday, chopping and hauling the stumps that had been left in the front yard since last summer. We shoveled rock and relocated it to the front beds by the street that needed some filling in, as well as prepping the hill in front of our house for Mondo grass.
Here are a few in progress shots after our weekend of sweating to the oldies. Hoping to order Mondo grass pips this week, as we're going to plan mondo all on our hill and on the side yard. We feel like we need to add a bit more year round greenery and mondo grass is perfect, since it doesn't have to be mowed or cared for as much as a lawn.
We'll be ordering wood this week and planning our garbage can enclosure build and clearing the side of the house. We thought we'd get to it this weekend, but wood chopping and hauling took so much longer than we had anticipated. Thanks for checking in, and stay tuned for Week 3 updates. Hopefully those will be more exciting, haha!
